Irondequoit Kiwanis Charitable Foundation, Inc.
Welcome! We would like to share information about the Irondequoit Kiwanis Charitable Foundation, Inc. which is related, but a completely separate entity from the Kiwanis Club of Irondequoit. The Foundation has contributed significantly to charitable causes since its inception.
The purpose to the Irondequoit Kiwanis Charitable Foundation, Inc. is to support charitable organizations within our community, to assist in social and rehabilitative services for financially needy families, and to fund specialized projects based in our community that help children in need.
The Irondequoit Kiwanis Charitable Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in 1997 by the the Kiwanis Club of Irondequoit, Monroe County, New York to accept by gift or bequest funds to support the charitable endeavors of the Club: to ensure that all expendable funds are used in compliance with applicable restrictions and charitable programs: and to manage prudently any funds given to the Foundation. Bylaws have been adopted, the Foundation has been incorporated, and a 501 (c) 3 Federal Tax Exemption has been obtained.
The goals of the Irondequoit Kiwanis Charitable Foundation, Inc. are to fulfill our mission by identifying worthy capital projects, if possible, and provide funds to accomplish those projects. Further, our aim is to grow the Foundation financially so that larger projects and perhaps more impacting projects may be undertaken. To this end, we seek member and outside donations on an annual basis.
Requests for funding from groups or organizations centered on the needs of small children are given priority. Projects that reach broad numbers rather than one or two individuals are given priority. Foundation funds are generated by donations from the community, its residents and members of the Kiwanis Club of Irondequoit.
We are not currently accepting new requests for donations.
