PROJECTS

The Kiwanis Club of Irondequoit is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children and families locally and worldwide. 

We are proud to list just a few of our past and current accomplishments.

  • Prepare and deliver over 1,000 meals every Thanksgiving.
  • Created the "Kiwanis Closet" to collect and distribute children's clothing to needy children and families.
  • Founded the Irondequoit Community Band.​
  • Built and updates the Performing Arts Center, the “Gazebo” at the Irondequoit Town Hall.​
  • Worked to establish the Irondequoit Volunteer Ambulance Corps, donated one ambulance.
  • Restored the stained glass windows on the Cobble Stone Smoke House at  Sea Breeze Pocket Park.
  • Donated over $25,000 to Stepping Stones Learning Center.

  • Supplied CPR equipment to Town of Irondequoit.

  • Worked with senior citizens at St. Ann's Home and at the Culverton.

  • Sponsored a Kiwanis Key Club at Eastridge High School.

  • Sponsors a Builders Club at Ivan Green School.

  • Provides Scholarships each year to High School students.

  • Started and supports an Adult Aktion Club at CP Rochester.

  • Remodeled and updated Kiwanis Lodge at Camp Eastman.
